total food journal today

a day in the food life of Karla @ Daily Thoughts 


ate this cold after the gym in the car 
on my way to work 
40g instant oat meal 
1 egg
4 whites 
I also had some coffee creamer 
I always dilute my coffee creamer and never measure the EXACT amount 
it is half SF Carnation creamer 
half unsweetened almond milk 


8:30 
you love these 
or you hate these 
I am in the love camp 


about 11:00
this tastes like a cup of pure peanut butter 
a few sweeteners and total delish


2:45 ish 
frozen cauliflower cooked
put on a paper towel to drain 
then I chop it up so it looks like rice 
added 4 ounces of ground turkey breast 
just browned with some Flavor God seasoning 
1 ounce of low fat feta 
and smothered in Pico Pica taco sauce 


final meal at 5:00
frozen broccoli 
same method: I cook and place on paper towels drain 
and chop chop chop 
I go through A LOT of paper towels 
4.5 ounces of chicken tenderloins 
and I added 3T of my own dressing 

Monday night and knew I had 
no proteins so I had to cook 


I just browned up 2 packages of ground turkey breast 
added some  Flavor God
and put the browned meat in a bowl with paper towels to drain 
cooked the chicken tenderloins in a smidge of 
coconut oil with another kind of Flavor God seasoning 
diced the chicken up and trimmed it 
so it cooked fast 

My Salad dressing 

I start with a big Tupperware like container 
32 ounce size 
use the Italian seasoning packet you buy in the grocery store 
the dried one that comes in a box 
add the recommended amount of oil 
the packet 
recommended amount of water 
and then about 24 ounces of balsamic vinegar 
and usually add some of whatever 
bottled salad dressing (usually a light one) 
I have left over in the refrigerator 
sometimes it's amazing 
other times it turns out so so 
this time it is da bomb 

worked out for an hour 
15 minutes cardio warm up 
45 minutes on the gym floor 
and drank 3 liters of water
